Chemical waste transport manifests, 1990-[ongoing].

Federal and state statutes (Ala. Code, 22-30-17, [1975]) require that a manifest accompany transported hazardous waste and that this manifest identify the hazardous waste, the quantity of such waste, the general chemical and physical composition of the waste, and other information. The manifest is completed by the hazardous waste generator and lists the generator's name and address. The manifests are completed on several types of forms, including forms distributed by the United States Environmental Protection Agency and the individual transporter. The forms are submitted to the Alabama Department of Environmental Management by the facility receiving the waste.
